High Five by Janet Evanovich

After getting my hands on a digital copy of More Plums in One (Stephanie Plum Boxed Set Book 2) I was able to quickly read High Five and Hot Six. When I say quickly, I mean I finished both of these books in a matter of 3 or 4 days. I promise I do have a life but Janet Evanovich has sucked it right out of me with these books.

In High Five Stephanie Plum is set out to find her Uncle Fred who has gone missing after a spat with the garbage company. Not only has he gone missing, but Benito Ramirez who was a large part of One for the Money is now out on Parole. Between the team of guys out looking for Uncle Fred and Ramirez Stephanie gets herself into trouble as usual.

It is in her nature to ignore warnings from Joe Morelli so Stephanie joins forces with Ranger and takes on a few extra side jobs to help pay the rent. As usual at least one car gets blown up (and squashed by a garbage truck) and she comes across more than one dead body.

Mixed in with Stephanie’s complicated work, she now has torn herself between falling in love with Joe Morelli and Ranger. Throughout the book, both start giving her signs that they are interested (in their own little ways) and the book ends leaving readers questioning which one she chose. You can join me in yelling “DAMN THESE BOOKS” at the end of them… because that was my exact reaction & explains why I very quickly started on book six, only to finish it later that same day still waiting for answers.

Needless to say, High Five was yet another wonderful addition to the Stephanie Plum series. So far Four To Score has been my favorite book but there are plenty more to come. If you haven’t started this series yet, I highly recommend you leave my blog and go pick up One for the Money. You will not regret it.
