Homemade Strawberry Frozen YogurtDid anyone else catch that yesterday was National Ice Cream Day? That is a day that I can easily get behind celebrating every day! I’m an ice cream addict. Years and years ago (long before I was born) my family owned a dairy in downtown Toledo, Ohio. I grew up with ice cream as a treat & still rely on it heavily as a bedtime snack.

Recently we have started using a chest freezer as a second freezer and on a whim I threw the ice cream maker bowl in it to see if it would make a difference.

It did!

Little man and I decided we needed a little bit of an ice cream treat a few weeks ago. I had just bought a huge bunch of strawberries from Costco and decided to cut them up and make some strawberry frozen yogurt with them.

It was a nice quick treat that we both were able to enjoy. Although, we did decide that sprinkles were necessary and made it taste even better. Little man enjoyed the strawberry frozen yogurt and we were able to put the rest in the freezer for another day.

I’m excited to try this with some blueberries we’ve brought home recently. We are always looking for different combinations and I can’t wait to try a few more out before summer is up.
