It Is Still Summer & A Few Friday Favorites

I can’t be the only one holding onto Summer for a few more days right? I missed out on a lot of our favorite Summer nights due to heat, humidity and that whole being pregnant thing. This Summer flew by but I’m not ready to give up the last few days. Despite the mosquitos attacking we’re trying to get more outside time before the cold weather hits. The perfect Summer/Fall meme has been floating around Facebook and there is no way I’m the only one who laughed out loud at it.

First Day Of Fall

I wish I could give credit on this one but so many different pages have shared it. Whoever wrote this, dead on. While everyone else is drinking their Pumpkin Spice Lattes I’m going to live up the last few days my only few days of Summer.

Friday Favorites

Cooler Weather. Normally I love the heat but this Summer it was a little much for me when you mixed in the humidity and being pregnant. A few weeks out from having Baby B and I’ve been LOVING being able to get back to our evening walks. The high 70s and low 80s has made for a completely perfect week. Rain coming later today is my only complaint.

Apple Cider Donuts. Yes, these are technically a Fall treat but with such a limited time that the orchard is open we have to cram them in as much as possible. To be fair, I would eat these all year round if I could.

Hot Coffee. Something so minor and stupid but hot coffee is my saving grace favorite thing every morning. Coffee made me sick throughout a majority of my pregnancy. The first day Baby B was born I had a cup of hot coffee and it tasted wonderful. My one cup a day is a treat that I look forward to.

Bachelor in Paradise. Yup, no shame here. Next week I’ll recap all of the shows I’m looking forward to this Fall. For now I just finished binge watching Bachelor in Paradise. So many engagements, so much love…I wonder who will actually get married after all of this. The only downfall is there wasn’t enough Jorge. Let’s be honest, he was the real star of Paradise.

iOS 10. There are mixed reviews out there but I finally caved and updated my phone. Messages just got a whole lot more fun. Stickers, gifs, drawings…my friends will hate me even more.

A Schedule. Technically there is no such thing as a schedule with a newborn. These last 2.75 weeks have been a game every day of figuring out what is next. We finally had a few nights this week where I almost felt like we were in a routine. I’m sure it will be a totally different schedule next week but for now I’m going to enjoy the few moments of peace it has given me.

What are your favorite things this week?
Have you given into the pumpkin spice?

  1. LOL I haven’t seen this one yet. That’s funny. And yes it is still summer and here in Texas it will be HOT like summer until well into October, So girl go enjoy your summer 🙂

  2. Loved Bachelor in Paradise! I hope there’s some good Fall TV coming because there were a lot of shows I liked this summer. No pumpkin spice for me yet either. Actually, I’m not all that big on pumpkin anyways. Best of luck with your schedule!

    1. I’m not a huge pumpkin fan either. I’ll take a caramel apple cider any day though! I think we will have some good Fall TV. I’m excited!
