Gluten-Free Apple Recipes

As the Fall weather sets in, so does the desire to go to an apple orchard and bake all the gluten-free apple recipes that Pinterest has to offer. Maybe that’s just me, but pumpkin isn’t my Fall flavor of choice; apples are. As soon as the first sign of Fall hits, it means stocking up on apples (honey crisps are the best) and hitting the kitchen to see how creative we can get.

When you start your gluten-free diet, that likely will mean changing your favorite apple recipes. That doesn’t mean you have to give them up altogether; it just means it’s time to start looking for something new. First, let’s talk about that age-old saying, “An apple a day…” is it true?

An Apple A Day…

The old saying, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away,” rings true in some form. Apples are loaded with vitamins that can help us build up our immune systems.

According to Healthline, one medium 7-ounce (oz) or 200 grams (g) apple offers the following nutrients:

  • Calories: 104
  • Carbs: 28 g
  • Fiber: 5 g
  • Vitamin C: 10% of the Daily Value (DV)
  • Copper: 6% of the DV
  • Potassium: 5% of the DV
  • Vitamin K: 4% of the DV

That’s a lot of vitamins, especially since Fall means back-to-school germs are upon us, and our bodies need any help they can get fighting them off.

While we can eat just a plain apple daily, that doesn’t mean apples have to be boring. Fall weather means it’s fresh apple season. That means apple pie, apple crisp and more. However, when you’re on a gluten-free diet, that means finding new gluten-free apple recipes to cook this Fall.

Don’t worry; I’ve rounded up 32 apple recipes for you.
